The opportunity
You'll create and implement a sales strategy and tactical plan for your defined region whilst supporting, meeting or exceeding sales targets. You will analyze sales metrics and market trends to adapt or modify sales strategies and approaches accordingly.
You will be working closely with the Senior Regional Sales Manager, Director of North American Sales and other internal key stakeholders to leverage market and customer intelligence to reach objectives. In addition, you will work with the Regional Sales Associate team members to ensure your assigned territory reaches or exceeds annual territory sales targets.
You'll display in-depth knowledge of AM products and your customer base to develop the sales pipeline and strategy for your defined region, with an emphasis on accuracy, data analysis and excellent prioritization.
The Regional Sales Partner builds and maintains excellent relationships with existing customer institutions, establishing long-term relationships with multiple stakeholders across the library team in support of negotiating and closing business. In addition, building and developing new customers relationships to continue to grow our customer base.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Success in a sales role, with a customer focused attitude and ability to negotiate large and complex deals. industry experience highly desirable.
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent negotiation, networking and consultative sales skills
- To be a strong team player with the ability to build effective relationships quickly
- To be well organised, with good prioritisation and problem-solving skills
- To work well under pressure
- To have the ability to make good strategic decisions
- A Bachelors Degree. Humanities background preferred.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with CRM systems is preferred
- The ability to travel for 45-50% of your time throughout the year
